A family-like atmosphere at Tisza Automotive

Many studies try to discover what a good workplace looks like and what company management should do to ensure that employees feel good at work instead of thinking about changing jobs.

If we move beyond answers that reduce this issue to a single factor, such as salary level, we can identify a range of other factors that contribute to a collective truly functioning as a community. In this regard, the responsible departments within a company can play a significant role.

One of the most important goals is achieving a family-like atmosphere within the team. There are many elements involved in this, and below we list some of these factors.

Open and honest communication


For a workplace community to be united and capable of functioning like a family, open and honest communication is of the utmost importance. Managers must communicate openly with employees and must avoid situations that could send a signal of any kind of hierarchical distance. If employees feel that management supports them, helps them, and pays attention to their problems and difficulties, they will be more loyal and far more receptive to good advice.

Work–life balance

For employees to enjoy coming to work, it is important to create a balance between work and private life. This can be achieved not only by avoiding overtime, but also, for example, by organizing various family-oriented programs.

Team building and respect

Creating a family-like atmosphere can also be significantly supported if a company occasionally organizes joint activities for employees outside the workplace. When people have the opportunity to spend time together outside the factory, in an informal setting, and get to know each other, it can positively influence their relationships and communication at work as well. Such a team is also more successful in solving problems.

Appreciation is also an important factor. It is beneficial if a company from time to time highlights and rewards colleagues who have created something exceptional in the previous period.

At Tisza Automotive, we have also recognized the importance of the factors mentioned above. When it comes to the last factor, namely employee appreciation, since last year we have introduced two campaigns in which our employees can express their gratitude to one another.

Within the LionWoman and LionMan campaigns, our employees can vote for colleagues they consider the most capable. In this way, we draw attention to those employees who, through their expertise, commitment, and support, have contributed to making our company an even more family-oriented workplace.
